  • The Fide Test is a language skills assessment developed by the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), the purpose of which is to demonstrate your proficiency in one of the official Swiss languages in a range of everyday situations. It consists of an oral part (‘speaking & comprehension’) and a written part (‘reading & writing’). The SEM states that "Knowledge of a national language is a basic requirement for the successful integration into working and social life".
